Inu Yasha (April '02)
I have this small stack of yellowed watercolor paper which I've used for various art experiments. I thought it'd be be perfect to try on characters from this series to catch the medeival flavor. The art was loosely inspired by Japanese brush painting. Brought to Fanime for sale.
Kagome (April '02)
The partner to the Inu Yasha piece. I designed the pair of them to be put side-by-side, though they're each a little different. Inu Yasha's sort of sulky-brooding, so I made Kagome more cheerful and innocent to contrast him :) Also brought to Fanime.
Wonder Bra Ad (April '02)
I've always found the Mizuha gag in MTT quite entertaining, but as of late the big busomed women in anime have been ticking me off. This is a playful little joke on unrealistic animated women everywhere ;) Alas, I still rounded her out proportionate to her busom. Brought to Fanime for sale.
Noir (June '02)
An attempt to break down my artist block through force (doing this in an airport didn't help much ^^;). As you can see, the line-art and I had some issues, but I really, really like the coloring in this. Done in colored pencil. Brought to AX for sale.
Me and Satan (June '02)
I admit it, I've fallen hook line and obsession into the game Okage (Japanese title above). I had to do at least one fanart to bring along with me to AX, especially since I was cosplaying Ari. I love the composition and Stan and everything. Dig the fact that Ari looks like he's handcuffed. Marker with colorpencil background.
Death (Sandman) (July '02)
Everybody loves Death. Even if you hate Sandman, you have to respect a perky 80's goth rendition of the great beyond ;) This is my meager homage. I really like her face and her proportions, even if they're wonky. Background added on sheer whim. It was a nice whim :) Brought to AX for sale.
Comfort (July '02)
A Violinist of Hameln fanart done for competition. I admit to being an angst addict, and one of the more interesting dynamics to me is that between Sizer and Ocarina, her servant/motherfigure. I really like how Ocarina turned out in this piece. Colored pencils, cut out and pasted onto black paper.
Revenge of the Bad Slash (Okage) (July '02)
One in every fanfic I read for Okage turns Stan into a sopping ball of angst over Ari. It's laughably bad and I couldn't resist the urge to take a graphical poke at it. Incidentally, I think traumatized Ari looks adorable XD
Ginny Weasley (grown up) (November '02)
To stay sane during computer science, I usually scribble in pen. One of those scribbles took the shape of Ginny. It's not terribly accurate anatomy, but it has a quick lively feel to it. She's obviously a bit older to be this blossomed, but ehn ;)
