Print:
Allfur (Strawberry Comics; pub. December 2009)
Collaboration with Gina of Strawberry Comics (I did the art). Based on the fairy tale All Fur. I pushed myself to be more adventurous with color and texture and get back into using my brush pen to ink.
The Bird, the Mouse, & the Sausage (Strawberry Comics; pub. May 2009 as part of Erstwhile 01)
Part of a series of short fairy tales adapted by Gina of Strawberry Comics. It's a story of three animal friends whose lives go well until they decide to switch chores. I focused on experimenting with color and backgrounds, both of which I feel were incredibly successful in this 11 page story.
The Frog Prince (Strawberry Comics; pub. August 2008)
This was my first foray into writing a full-length piece outside of a 24 hour comic, and an experiment with greytone shading.
Web:
Littlest Elle (August '07 to present)
Twice weekly journal comics.
Would you like a Bag for your Bag? (June 2007, pub. January 2008)
Originally created for online publication through Inktart. They wanted comics themed around real issues, so that gave me an excuse to finally create a piece about plastic bag laws.

24 Hour Comics: 2007 & 2008
Inspired by the classic 24 hour challenge: start and finish a 24 page comic in 24 consecutive hours. Both comics were drawn straight to the page in ink so they have a sketchy spontaneity that I like. Both inspired by fairy tales, because I'm addicted that way.
2007: Rescuing Arugula
2008: Fitcher's Bride
52 Comic Challenges (August 2007-February 2008)
All the assorted comics created for the now defunct 52 comic challenges website. They posted a prompt every week (such as "tell a comic without words") and it was up to each artist for how to interpret that. I followed the group from week 1 and completed all the prompts posted before the domain went down.

Hourly Comic Day? (February 2006)
One comic an hour for every hour you're awake. I think of this as "Proto-Littlest Elle".

Out of Print:
Window Seat (small town/BIG CITY, Young American Comics; pub. July 2007)
For this story, I pulled from a particularly memorable moment where I got trapped in the subway. I curbed my experimentation with shading since I wasn't 100% sure on what the print requirements would be. In hindsight, the transition between inks and shading is one of my favorite parts of the piece.

Take me out to the Ballpark (Girls' Guide to Guy Stuff, Friends of Lulu; drawn January 2006, pub. July 2007 )
I went to a baseball game with a very feminine female friend of mine and she totally floored me with her overflowing enthusiasm for the sport. My shock and awe at how she balanced sports fandom with girliness inspired me to turn it into a comic. I learned an awful lot through this piece and it still shocks me that it doesn't show more growing pains. Also, this short piece got me a mention in the Beat!
