Mahoutsukai TAI! - Love, Denial, and Invisable men! (or how the club room got a little larger) Written by Tarra Nakatsu (aka Taters, aka Wedding Peach, aka 'Hey, Stupid!') A couple of notes: I've used some japanese phrases in this to keep mood ect.. so just incase you aren't an anime freak like me and memorizes common phrases. -senpai : a term tacked onto the end of a name when refering to someone of of higher social status than you, for example, someone older than you or someone of higher grade than you in school. -kohai: the opposite of senpai, used when the other member of the Magic club refer to Akane (because she's the youngest of the group) -chan : a term tacked onto the end of a name when refering to someone of lower social status than you, or someone you care about a lot. This is generally used with small children, but it is also used to show affection. Aburatsubo uses '-chan' to show that he has feelings for Takeo, but Mizuha uses it to insult Takeo by talking to him like a child (although her feelings for Takeo might be another reason she would use '-chan') -hime: a term tacked on to the end of a name when refering to someone that is a princess. Ojou-sama: used to call someone "Queen" Yokatta: "That's good..." or "That's better..." Hai hai: "Okay." "Alright" baka: "Idiot" That's it. I hope you like it. Sae: (voiceover) Since the Tsurigane have left, the members of the Magic club have been working hard to prepare themselves so this won't happen again. Although Akane-kohai says that they have no intention of returning, it's better to be prepared incase they come back with reinforcements. (Sae is sleeping in her bed, dreaming) Voice: Help!! (a hand reaches up from some dark water then splashes back down) (Sae wakes up with a start.) Sae: What was that!? {That day at school} Sae: Yeah, and I kept on hearing someone cry for help! Nanaka: It's just a dream. You probably ate something funny before you went to bed. Sae: But.. Nanaka: Don't worry, if it actually means something, we'll figure it out soon enough. Now stop worrying! Sae: Nanaka, do you think it has something to do with what we learned yesterday? Nanaka: Yesterday? I don't remember... Sae: Takeo tried to teach us "Futureseeing" magic. {Flashback} Takeo: You must remember to end the spell by snuffing the candles with your own hands. Otherwise the results could turn bad. {Reality} Nanaka: Oh, yeah. I was going to talk to him about that... Sae: Why? Did something happen? Nanaka: Well, No... {In principal's office} Mizuha: (sips some tea) I just don't feel as good about my second volume of manga as I did the first. It still sold out, but it doesn't seem the same. Sensei: Maybe it isn't the manga that's lacking, maybe it's something you're missing. Mizuha: What is that supposed to mean? {In Mahou club room} Takeo: With summer vacation nearing, I've been offered my grandfather's summer cabin by the ocean. I've decided that this would be an excellent opportunity to hold a training camp like last year. It will begin on Monday of next week. Aburatsubo: I'll be there, Takeo-chan *wink*. Takeo: *shudder* Okay, anyone else? Sae: The water is still going to be there, isn't it.. {frowns} Takeo: I hope so, there's a couple of water magics I was thinking of teaching everyone. Nanaka: {glances at Aburatsubo and blushes} I'll go. Akane: Well, my dates have been a little boring lately anyways... Sae: {Thinking} I'd better go just in case my dream comes true {Reality} I'll go, too. Takeo: Good. Now as for today, I was thinking of practicing the magic I taught you yesterday... Nanaka: About that... What happens if the candles go out by themselves? Takeo: Well, something terrible, that's for sure. (Nanaka looks unfulfilled) Well, let's get started. (Everyone takes out their magic wands) Aburatsubo: Takeo-kun, what are we going to predict? Takeo: I don't know... What do you girls think? Akane: I don't know, but this uniform is getting a little itchy... Nanaka: Let's predict who can strip fastest! (Sae quickly takes off her uniform leaving her in only her underwear, the other girls quickly follow) Sae: Now, let's predict who can strip Takakura-senpai fastest! (The girls run to Takeo and begin to pull off his shirt) Aburatsubo: *snap* Takeo-kun, (Takeo is brought back to reality) what are we going to predict? Takeo: *ahem* Let's predict the next person to walk in that door. (Takeo places four tall white tapers at the four corners of the table and lights them. He takes a small bowl of water from behind him and places it in the middle of a table. Everyone pulls their wands close to them and circles the table.) Everyone: **Briji wharl querno flirop... Briji wharl querno flirop... Briji wharl...** (A small picture of Mizuha floats to the surface of the water in the bowl, then fades off. The group smiles with achievement.) Takeo: That was much better than the last time, quicker and with more focus. Well done, everyone! (Takeo grins as he notices that Sae is also happy, so happy that she's jumping up and down, making her breasts bounce. Aburatsubo sees what's going on and grabs Sae and places her on the one chair that fits in the club room. Nanaka frowns.) Nanaka: You know, for a club with magic powers, we certainly have a small club room. Takeo: It's the price we have to pay for keeping so much secret. (using his fingers, Takeo snuffs out each of the candles, almost burning his thumb on the last one.) Itai! Nanaka: And you think people didn't notice the sudden disapearance of the Tsurinage? Sorry to burst your bubble, Takakura-senpai, but I think people know that there's something going on... (The sharp clang of the club door slamming open [accompanied by high pitched laughter] interupts Nanaka's rant.) Mizuha: 'Something going on', eh? Ta.ke.o-chan? Takeo: Mizuha.... Mizuha: What's the matter, Takeo-chan? You seem a little worried... You couldn't be worried that I might have a little piece of paper stating that your pathetic five-member club is being cut out of the schools budget, could you?? Is that the 'Something going on'? Nanaka: Is this true, Takakura-senpai? Takeo: Well... I... uh....... Mizuha: *O ho ho ho ho* You know, Takeo-chan, I might be pursuaded to use my influence with the school staff to change their mind about your club finacial situation... (stares directly into Takeo's eyes) If... Takeo: If? Mizuha: If you become my slave for a day. {flashback} Sensei: Maybe it isn't the manga that's lacking, maybe it's something you're missing. Mizuha: What is that supposed to mean? Sensei: Maybe you're still hung up on Ta... (The principal's head smashes into the coffee table) Mizuha: Oops, I slipped. (takes a sip of tea.) But, I assure you that I have no special feelings for that worm. And to make it clear to everyone concerned, I'll do something that will make sure that I'm not bothered by questions like that any more. {reality} Mizuha: So, do we have a deal? You're my slave for a complete 24 hours and you get to keep your sad excuse for a club. Takeo: (looking down) I suppose.... Club members: What?! Akane: Stand up to her! Like this... (Akane takes out her wand and closes her eyes, Sae goes to stop her but it's too late. Mizuha spins rapidly and falls to the floor from dizziness. The club hovers over Mizuha until she recovers. Then, Mizuha's glasses fog over. Mizuha goes to wipe ger glasses, but finds that she can neither take off her glasses or wipe away whatever is fogging them. She screams blindly.) Mizuha: What kind of trick IS this!?! I CAN'T SEE!! Aburatsuno: Don't worry, Mizuha-san... Takeo: Akane, I thought we told you about using magic on people like that! Akane: But, she was being such a bitch, she deserved it. Sae: That's beside the point! Mizuha: I STILL CAN'T SEE!!! (Mizuha attempts to find her way to someone she can strangle, but ends up looking like a lost zombie, with her arms outstretched, bumping into the walls.) Takeo: Akane, please undo the spell. Akane: Why? Maybe like this she'll reconsider. (Takeo opens his mouth to speak but is cut off my Sae.) Sae: You have to undo things like that because if you don't she'll be blind and if you can't see then you might have bad dreams and fall in water and be wet. I don't think I could handle being all wet although it might help with snuffing the candles. And I don't really know what I'm saying but the point is you should undo that spell. Akane: *sigh* I guess. (Akane waves her wand at Mizuha and her glasses de-fog) Mizuha: I don't care how you did that, but if you do it again, I'll kill you!! *huff huff* Now, Takeo-chan, because it's summer, I will be in my summer cabin for the next couple of weeks. I'll expect you on Monday at 9:00Am sharp. (Mizuha stomps out of the club room) Nanaka: Isn't that when our training camp starts? Takeo: I guess all of you can start without me... Aburatsubo: Nonsense! I'll go with you! The girls can practice flying in the inlet for the first day. Sae: Well, if Aburatsubo-senpai can go with you, then I can too! Nanaka: And, I want to go with Sae *blush* (underbreath) I'll go anywhere Aburatsubo-senpai is going... Akane: And I'm not going to stay in the inlet all by myself.... Takeo: You can't ALL come with me... Aburatsubo: Why? Takeo: Because... Mizuha, she'll be angry and that will just make things worse. Nanaka: (slyly)That's only if she knows we're there. (turns to one of Takeo's ancient books and rapidly flips through the pages) Takeo: HEY! Careful with that! Nanaka: See? Here's an invisiblity magic! If she can't see us, then she won't know were there and she can't get angry. Aburatsubo: Ah! That's wonderful, isn't it Takeo-kun! (Aburatsubo hugs Takeo tightly making Takeo's face read "Careful what you're squeezing...") {In Sae's bedroom} (Sae is putting clothes into a small red weekend bag when she sees Jeff-kun sitting on her bed. She picks him up and flops back onto her bed.) Sae: What do you think Jeff-kun? Is my dream something I should be worrying about or is it nothing? Jeff-kun: ......... Sae: That's what I thought... I guess I have no choice but to believe that it's something I have to worry about. If I don't someone could get hurt. Jeff-kun: ......... Sae: Nanaka isn't going to be happy, she doesn't like it when I do things like this. Jeff-kun: ......... (Sae takes the last of her clothes and places it neatly into the red bag) Sae: What else do I need to pack? (Sae looks around the room and sees her broken magic wand.) Hm... I have a new one, but I think I'll bring this one too. {Monday, on the trail to Miyama Mizuha's summer cabin} (All five club members are gathered in the wooded area in their bathing suits. All but Takeo are carrying their magic wands) Takeo: Just remember that just because she can't see you, it doesn't mean that she can't figure out that you're there. She can still hear you and she can see anything that you move. Akane: Well, let's go! **Sundas maiyu kalkim ai** (Akane's body piroettes and the magic takes effect. She's invisible alright, but her clothes aren't.) Takeo: It looks like this spell works only on living things. Akane: She'll freak if she sees a bathing suit walking around! (Akane proceeds to take off her bathing suit, Takeo's glasses fog up and his nose starts to bleed) Takeo: (thinking) If Akane has to walk around naked that means that everyone else will too! I'll be slaving away for their sake and in return they'll be walking around naked, just for me! And eventually, the spell will wear off and everyone will still be naked!! Aburatsubo: *snap* Takeo-kun, if you keep thinking like that, your nosebleeds will never get better. Sae: Well, I guess it's my turn. **Sundas maiyu kalkim ai** (Sae then fades to nothing leaving behind a floating bathing suit.) I guess I have to take it off don't I? Please, no-one steal it, okay? (Sae's floating bathing suit falls to the ground.) Aburatsubo: (get's close to Takeo) Should I take off my bathing suit before or after the spell? Eh, Takeo-kun? Nanaka: (thinking) Before! Before! Before! (Nanaka realizes she's staring and blushes) Takeo: *shudder* Spell first please, Aburatsubo. Aburatsubo: **Sundas maiyu kalkim ai** (Aburatsubo's body fades away like Sae's and his bathing trunks drop) Nanaka: Oh, I'm the only one left... I don't know if I want to be _naked_ in front of everyone... Akane: Oh, it's no big deal. It's not like anyone can see you. And anyways, it's fun! Nanaka: *sigh* Okay. (thinking) I guess this is the closest thing I can get to being "naked with Aburatsubo- senpai".. (reality) **Sundas maiyu kalkim ai** (Nanaka's body fades like all the others. All the bathing suits float over to the side of the trail, and a rock floats on top of them.) Sae: So they don't blow away with the wind. Aburatsubo: Takeo, you won't believe where I have my hand... Takeo: Ewww... (Takeo's face reads "I'm glad this isn't a Hentai anime...") {In Mizuha's summer cabin} Mizuha: (singing) Futari ga Dekiru koto wo.... Unto chikazuketai no... (The doorbell rings and Mizuha answers it) Mizuha: Oh, Takeo! I'd be impressed that you're early, but your ugly face makes it difficult. You have about 10 minutes before you have to start taking orders from me, so I suggest to take this time to prepare yourself...Don't do anything until I get back, I'm going to change into something more.. how should I say it.. "Queenly". *O ho ho ho ho!* (Takeo looks around to make sure Mizuha is gone, and opens the door to let everyone in) Takeo: (whispering) Is everyone in? Nanaka: (whispering) I'm here. Akane: (whispering) So am I. Sae: Hi Takeo! Takeo: (whispering) Shhhh! If Mizuha hears.. Mizuha: (Calling from the other room) Takeo-chan?? Is that you making all that noise? I thought I told you not to do anything! Takeo: (Calling back) Gomennasai! Aburatsubo: (whispering) I'm here too, Takeo-chan. You still have 9 more minutes, let's go into the bathroom and.... Takeo: (whispering) Aburatsubo, this isn't the time, I have to think of a way to make her think I deserve to leave early.... Akane: (whispering) Why not just cast a spell on her? Sae: (whispering) Akane, if we use magic all the time instead of solving our problems like people that aren't.. uh... like us.... then we aren't people that are normal.... and we want to be normal or something like that.... right? Nanaka: (whispering) I think Sae is trying to say that if we resort to magic all the time, we become weak people. Akane: (whispering) But, that's no fun! Takeo: (whispering) Shhh... We should stop talking. Mizuha might come in here while.... (Mizuha walks back into the living room to see Takeo having a conversation with air. Takeo looks up and sees Mizuha developing sweatdrops on her head dressed in a long white dress with a Cleopatrian crown on her head.) Takeo: Ahaha... I was just... preparing myself like you suggested.... Mizuha: Well, your time's not up, but I'll let you go 5 minutes early if you start now. Your first job is to make me comfortable, then you can do your first list of chores. *O ho ho ho!* I suggest doing the outdoor chores first, before it get's too hot. *O ho ho ho ho ho ho ho!* Takeo: Yes, Mizuha-san. Mizuha: Don't call me Mizuha-san, call me "High Mistress" or maybe, "Mizuha-hime" or even "Ojou-sama"!! *O ho ho ho ho ho!* Takeo: Yes, *flinch* Ojou-sama.... (The day starts off with many dirty chores, like cleaning the toilet with a toothbrush. But Takeo does the work without a word while Mizuha laughs.) {On Mizuha's back porch facing the sea} Mizuha: (to herself) What an obedient guy he is. (watches Takeo as he licks a cloth and polishes a pair of Mizuha's muddy boots.) He must really love his club... Takeo: I have cleaned your boots using my own mouth like you asked, Ojou-sama. (Takeo kneels, offering Mizuha her boots. Mizuha cracks an evil smile that sends a shiver down Takeo's back) Mizuha: I don't want your filthy spittle all over my boots!! Take them away and wash them properly, you sad excuse for a guy! *Oh ho ho ho ho!!* Takeo: Yes, MizuhaOjou-sama. (Mizuha watches as Takeo backs away humbly with no complaints.) Mizuha: (to herself) How does he stay so calm? (She watches as he gets up off the ground and walks into the kitchen with her boots. As he does, his hair shines from the sweat created during all the hard work he'd been doing.) He works so hard, and all because of his trick club. I'd almost admire him, if her weren't such a pathetic specimen of masculinity. {In Mizuha's kitchen} Takeo: Well, now her boots aren't clean enough... *sigh* She has to get tired of this eventually. Nanaka: Well, I have to say this training camp is starting out really boring. Akane: Yeah, let's go swimming in the ocean! Sae: Don't we have to whisper? Takeo: Mizuha is outside drinking Calpis water. The doors are closed, so she can't hear us unless we're really loud. Nanaka: Where's Aburatsubo-senpai? Sae: I don't know. He's been pretty quiet. Nanaka: Should we find him? Takeo: Don't worry, I'm sure he's fine. And even if we decided to look for him, we wouldn't be able to see him. Nanaka: Sou ka... {On Mizuha's porch} (Mizuha is relaxing in a hammock with a lighter under her can of Calpis water.) Mizuha: TAKEO-BAKA!! MY CALPIS WATER IS WARM!! Takeo: (peaks his head out of the door) It's on it's way, MizuhaOjou-sama. (Takeo returns to the kitchen) Mizuha: *Oh ho ho ho ho!!* Aburatsubo: (Whispering in Mizuha's ear with a much more masculine voice than usual) I love you...Mizuha-chan... Mizuha: (sits up in surprise) Nani!? What was that! Aburatsubo: (Whispering to Mizuha a little louder) I love you.... Mizuha-chan... Mizuha: TA.KE.OOO!!!! Takeo: (almost kills himself as he runs to the porch door, then kneels to Mizuha) What is it MizuhaOjou-sama.. Mizuha: (pulls her hand back and slaps Takeo across the face, so hard that he falls to the ground.) Stop your childish voice-throwing tricks, you smelly... Aburatsubo: Aaahh! Are you alright, Takeo-chan? Takeo: Shhh! Mizuha: What is going on?!? Is that you Aburatsubo? Aburatsubo: (whispered to Takeo) Let me handle this... (Loud enough for Mizuha to hear, returning to the 'masculine' voice he was using earlier) Leave Takeo alone, Mizuha-darling. Mizuha: Mizuha-darling? What kind of joke is this Takeo? Aburatsubo: Takeo has nothing to do with this. I am a sea spirit, and I love you Mizuha-chan. (Mizuha's eyes widen slowly in fear, then she begins to tear up) Mizuha: AAAAAAH!!! (Mizuha then jumps out of her hammock and runs to the edge of end of the porch where there is a wire gate leading to a small dock.) Takeo: Mizuha! Come back here! (then the door to the kitchen opens) Nanaka: (whispering) What's going on, Takeo? Takeo: (whispering) Aburatsubo just scared Mizuha while invisible. Aburatsubo: Mizuha-darling, please don't run away... Sae: (whispering) Why did he do that? Takeo: (whispering) Because he thought of a plan for me... Mizuha: W...what do you w...w... want from m...m...m...me? Aburatsubo: Please, I just want for you to be alone with me this week. I don't want any interuptions. That means no other people in the cabin, just you.. and me. Mizuha: W..why? Aburatsubo: Because I want to be alone with you.. Mizuha-darling. (Aburatsubo places one finger on Mizuha's cheek) To touch you...... To..... (moves his hand down her neck to just above her breasts) ....love you. (Mizuha backs up slowly, the colour in her face fading. She opens the gate and backs up through it) Mizuha: I... don't w..want to b..be with y..y..yyou. Aburatsubo: Why is that? Don't you want someone to love you like you love them? Mizuha: B..but, I...I don't love y..you. Aburatsubo: Then who do you love? Mizuha: I.. I..... Aburatsubo: Then there isn't a problem. (picks up Mizuha) Let's go. Mizuha: Nooo!! I don't.... I mean I can't... I.. KYAAAA!!! (Mizuha waves her arms and kicks her legs wildly, so that Aburatsubo loses his balance. Mizuha flies though the air and lands in the water. She struggles but fails and her head goes under the water) Takeo: Mizuha!! (Takeo runs to the dock and jumps in after her. Mizuha's hand comes out of the water briefly then splashes back down.) {In the water} Mizuha: (Thinking) Help!! Somebody help me.... (she looks up and sees a shadow coming toward her. It grabs her arm. Mizuha then passes out) {On the dock} Akane: That was pretty stupid, Aburatsubo. Aburatsubo: I know, but this makes my plan work even better. (Takeo surfaces.) Takeo: She's passed out. Can you help me get her out? Sae: Hai hai! Aburatsubo: Nanaka? Nanaka: Yes? *blush* Aburatsubo: Get dressed and become visable again, I think everything's going to work out for everyone. {Later, in Mizuha's bedroom} (Mizuha's vision returns slowly to find Takeo watching over her. The evening sun shines through her window and highlights Takeo's still wet hair) Takeo: MizuhaOjou-sama, you're awake. Mizuha: Takeo? Takeo: Yes, MizuhaOjou-sama? Mizuha: I think you can leave early.... You've earned it. Takeo: Thanks. (There is a knock at the door) Mizuha: Yes? (Nanaka walks in the room wearing a traditional Shinto priestesses outfit.) Nanaka: Just how much do you like your sea spirit, Mizuha-senpai? Mizuha: I'm not going to make any deals with you, I can handle things myself! Nanaka: Really? (smiles evilly) Oh, Seaa Spiiirit!! Aburatsubo: (In masculine tone of voice again) Mizuha-darling.... Mizuha: *Ge!* What do you want? Nanaka: Less bitching about our club, Less bullying of Takeo, Our money from the school board, and..... *grin* More space in our club room. Mizuha: I.... I don't know... Aburatsubo: I love you... Mizuha: Fine! I'll do it. Just get rid of him. Nanaka: (Takes out a slip of paper with the words "Evil spirits begone!" on it) AKURYOU TAISAN!! (Nanaka flings the paper in the air and Aburatsubo screams a bit.) He's gone. Mizuha: Yokatta... *sigh* (Nanaka turns to leave.) Mizuha: Wait. Which shrine do you belong to? Nanaka: *Ge!* Uh.... Does it matter? Mizuha: Well, I guess not. Takeo: I'm going to go now. I have a training camp to run.. Mizuha: Okay... Oh, and thanks. (Takeo smiles at Mizuha and walks out the door) {In Takeo's cabin, the living room} Nanaka: That was pretty brilliant thinking, Aburatsubo-senpai. Aburatsubo: Well, I'm just glad things turned out like they did. Sae: What about Mizuha? Is she going to be alright? Takeo: She'll be fine. She just needs a little rest. Akane: *yawn* I think I need rest too. Nanaka: Takakura-senpai, what's the bad thing that happens if you don't snuff the candles with the 'future-seeing' magic? Takeo: I looked it up and I found that because the spell has no conclusion, the magic finds it's way all over the place and people start seeing strange things. Generally, it causes scary prophetic dreams. Sae: Oh, that makes sense! That's why I had that dream! Aburatsubo: Nanaka, why were you doing that spell at home? ((start ending theme : Mata Ashita)) Nanaka: *blush* (thinking) I can't tell him I was finding out if I could ever become his girlfriend. (reality)I... uh...... was wondering... about Takakura-senpai and Sae! Takeo: *blush* Sae: *blush* Aburatsubo: No way! Takeo can't love her! She's such a burden! Takeo-chan! Say it's not true!! Takeo: *blush* *blush*: Aburatsubo: TAKEO-CHAN!! You can't!!! Sae: *blush* *blush* Aburatsubo: No way..... {In Mizuha's bedroom} (Mizuha is still in bed watching the sunset through her window) Mizuha: (thinking) Maybe denying this is stupid. (remebers the way Takeo looked as she regained consciousness and the way he smiled as he left) Maybe.... I actually do love that dweeb. The End
